CONCLAVE is a feverish entry in the canon of persistent fantasies about how, against incredibly long odds, an ancient incalcitrant institution might finally change. Berger churns a satisfying political potboiler as Fiennes is hollowed out waiting for the white smoke. #telluride

Edward Berger’s CONCLAVE is one hell of a political thriller. Left me speechless. Probably the most elegantly realized visuals I’ve seen in a while, every inch choreographed w/ intention. The nods to our realities today will rattle you, and make you laugh. WHAT a ride. #Telluride

CONCLAVE is a meticulously constructed behind-closed-doors thriller where religion and politics clash and the souls of petty men are tested for a chance at supreme power. Echoing the scheming, backstabbing and intrigue of Game of Thrones, Succession, and House of Cards, Edward… pic.twitter.com/nIAIFar6az

#Conclave does Robert Harris’ novel great justice w/ a quietly provocative exploration of a papal election. With a remarkable cast, tight pacing, and a compelling score, this powerful film is going to resonate deeply with the current zeitgeist. #TellurideFilmFestival #telluride pic.twitter.com/5gUSsHc6aE

Ralph Fiennes is superb in Edward Berger's impressive and twisty Conclave which frames a naturally competitive papal election in a contemporary light. My review from #Telluridehttps://t.co/XTSLOWNr6O pic.twitter.com/aI2sotfLN0

CONCLAVE: Much to say about this one, but for now—the Academy has ignored several major Ralph Fiennes performances of late, and that streak can’t continue. He’s remarkable in nearly every frame here. #Telluride

Edward Berger’s #Conclave is a fantastically paced follow up to All Quiet on the Western Front. Ralph Feinnes is coming for that Oscar nomination, and Tucci & Rossellini are coming with him. Don’t read spoilers. #Telluride pic.twitter.com/ifqZ3c2z3h
