De La Iglesia y Trueba, entre los 322 nuevos miembros de la Academia

La Academia de Hollywood ha invitado a 322 personalidades del mundo del cine a unirse a la organización. Se trata de una cifra récord en la historia de los premios ya que, según las palabras de la presidenta Cheryl Boone Isaacs, "este año las ramas han querido reconocer una lista de cineastas y artistas más diversa e inclusiva que nunca antes". Esto puede notarse en la gran cantidad de profesionales extranjeros que han recibido la invitación de la Academia.

Entre la lista encontramos cuatro españoles: Álex De La Iglesia y su colaborador Jorge Guerricaechevarría, Fernando Trueba (que aún no pertenecía a la Academia pese a ganar la estatuilla con 'Belle Epoque' y estar nominado en la categoría de Mejor película de Animación con 'Chico y Rita'), y el director de cásting Luis San Narciso. Entre los actores encontramos varios nombres que fueron nominados por primera vez el pasado año: Benedict Cumberbatch, Felicity Jones. Eddie Redmayne, Rosamund Pike, J.K. Simmons y Emma Stone. Y lo mismo ocurre con los cineastas, entre los que encontramos a Damián Szifron, Morten Tyldum o Damien Chazelle.

  1. Yo pensaba que al ganar el Oscar automáticamente te hacían miembro de la Academia.

  2. Yo antes pensaba lo mismo. Incluso recuerdo haber leído hace muchos años que ganar el Oscar te convertía en miembro de la Academia. No se si cambiaron las reglas o la información estaba equivocada.
    De todas formas, en el caso de Trueba el "premio" a la película de habla inglesa es para el país, no para el director. Si le buscas en la base de datos de la Academia solo te sale su nominación por Chico y Rita.
