Oscars.org: “La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas invita a unirse a la organización a 271 artistas y ejecutivos que han destacado por su contribución al cine. Aquellos que acepten la invitación serán las únicas incorporaciones como miembros a la Academia en 2014.

‘Los invitados de este año son algunos de los cineastas más creativos y con más talento y pasión en nuestra industria actualmente,’ dice la Presidenta de la Academia, Cheryl Boone Isaacs. “Sus aportaciones al mundo del cine han deleitado al público por todo el mundo, y estamos orgullosos de darles la bienvenida a la Academia.’

Cada año, los miembros de la Academia pueden patrocinar a un candidato para convertirse en miembro dentro de su rama. La revisión de solicitudes de nuevos miembros tiene lugar en primavera. Las solicitudes para el próximo año deben entregarse antes del 19 de marzo de 2015.

Los nuevos miembros serán recibidos en la Academia en un evento en septiembre al que sólo se puede acceder mediante invitación.”

    No lo entiendo, no me entendáis mal , me parece un actor prometedor, pero no seria mas lógico meter a Jennifer Lawrence si querían a alguien The Hunger Games, ella estuvo nominada a 3 oscar y gano uno de ellos, o ella ya esta dentro???... no se...

    3. Si mi luci, ella entro por pase de su Óscar merecido en el 2013, no por winters bone, muy diferente a la Lupita, que por cinco minutos de azotes, a jenni siempre le toca el camino duro, esa es una actriz de carácter.

      Sabían que,,,, Bette Davis admiraba a Meryl Streep, mientras Katharine Hepburn, la odiaba por envidia, que contradictorio es el mundo, besos.

    2. Resulta patético que Gravity ganara 6 oscars el año pasado y que Snowpiercer no vaya a estar nominada a ninguno de ellos; siendo la segunda infinitamente superior

    3. El gran problema que tiene "Snowpiercer" es que, aparte de la crítica, apenas ha tenido repercusión mediática en EEUU y eso hace que apenas cuente, en ese sentido, para entrar en los Oscar. Su distribuidora en EEUU es Radius-TWC que, por lo general, está especializada en documentales más que en largometrajes. Yo también lo siento pero sus opciones son casi nulas... salvo que haya un "boca-a-boca" y se meta en alguna categoría técnica.

      Sobre "Gravity", a mi me resulta más patético que se critique los Oscar de la película de Cuarón, sobre todo porque "Gravity" era la mejor película en el 2013 en el apartado técnico-artístico (donde ganó 6 de los 7 Oscar recibidos). Podrá gustar o no "Gravity" pero sus Oscar son en categorías totalmente merecidas.
