I was able to catch Andrew Haigh's sublime All of Us Strangers last week before Telluride. It's stuck in my head ever since. Adam Scott is fantastic.

And yes Paul Mescal is giving the gays everything they want...and more #TellurideFilmFestival https://t.co/N7cU48kqAV
All of Us Strangers: another year, another hushed and haunting nuclear-grade tear-jerker starring Paul Mescal. Andrew Haigh's achingly tender, emotionally shattering ghost story is one of the very best films of the year.

Just out of the Telluride premiere of Andrew Haigh’s #AllOfUsStrangers, a sexy, supernatural, and ultimately shocking drama anchored by a vulnerable, pitch-perfect performance from Andrew Scott. Paul Mescal, Claire Foy & Jamie Bell are all also excellent. Fab ‘80s music to boot. pic.twitter.com/wmAmrqROtu

Loved Andrew Haigh’s ALL OF US STRANGERS, which is shattering and sexy in equal measure. And after Paul Mescal [redacted] Andrew Scott and then [redacted] him, it became clear that PASSAGES has some stiff competition for gay love scene of the cinematic year.

I doubt Andrew Haigh is capable of making a bad film, but that didn't prepare me for the emotional wallop of ALL OF US STRANGERS, with a performance from Andrew Scott that pulverized my heart. My @THR review of the #TellurideFilmFestival premierehttps://t.co/Y40ShxdAlZ

ALL OF US STRANGERS is excellent, one of the best films I’ve seen this year. A film about how death starves us of conversations we never got to have. Made, as Haigh always does, with such strong emotional acuity. Andrew Scott’s best performance by a long shot.
