La Academia de Hollywood publicabó ayer la lista de los 134 largometrajes documentales que aspiran a suceder en el palmarés a 'A 20 pasos de la fama'. Cabe destacar que no todas las candidatas han cumplido aún la exigencia de estrenarse al menos en un cine de Nueva York o Los Ángeles dentro del plazo de elegibilidad, por lo que alguno de los títulos presentes podría caerse finalmente de la carrera. El pasado año la categoría batió su récord histórico cuando se presentaron ni más ni menos que 151 producciones.
La Academia anunciará en diciembre cuáles son las 15 películas que se mantienen en la carrera por la estatuilla. Esta semana conocimos las cinco películas que optan en 2014 al premio de la Asociación Internacional de Documentalistas (IDA), entre las que destacaba la favorita al Oscar, 'Citizenfour'.
